Is the TP-LINK Archer C9 worth getting if you own the C7 or C8? You’re not sure? Soon you will be!
Let me keep it really short this time
Wait, what happened this time? Not the usual subheadings? Well, the Archer C9 is nearly the very same router as the TP-LINK Archer C8. Pretty much every information you can find in the previously linked article can be applied to this model, too. It looks the same, it performs equally good and it comes with the same features.
So, what are the differences then? The possible maximum speed got an upgrade (from 1750Mbps in total to 1900Mbps) and you don’t get a 800MHz dual-core processor but a 1GHz one.
With those facts in mind I would not recommend to buy this one if you already own a TP-LINK Archer C8. Users that were happy with the even older model (TP-LINK Archer C7) can think about getting the C9 if they want to upgrade their online experience.
Finally, if you haven’t used any router of the Archer-line and are pleased by what you read about the C8 then you should go for the Archer C9 right away. It costs only a couple of dollars more and is more powerful in total.
